Ryncast is a content management platform for video teams operated by Rishabh Dubey ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for information collected through our website at ryncast.com and our application at stage-web.ryncast.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you register (authentication is managed by Clerk).
• Workspace information: The name and details of workspaces you create or join.
• Content data: Video files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, and other content you upload to the platform.
• Communications: Messages you send to us via the feedback form or email, including feedback text (limited to 1,000 characters).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, clicks, and other interaction data.
• Device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Log data: Server logs, error logs, and API request logs for debugging and security purposes.

2.3 Third-Party Services

• Clerk: Handles authentication. Clerk's privacy policy governs their data handling.
• Mux: Processes and stores video files for streaming.
• Cloudflare R2: Stores media assets (thumbnails, images).
• Mailgun: Sends transactional emails (notifications, password resets).
• Neon (PostgreSQL): Hosts our relational database.
• Redis Labs: Provides caching and session storage.
• Google / YouTube: If you connect a YouTube account, we access YouTube on your behalf to publish content you explicitly authorize.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Ryncast platform.
• To process video uploads, manage approval workflows, and publish content as instructed by you.
• To send you notifications related to your account activity (reviews, approvals, rejections).
• To respond to your support requests and feedback.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate security threats, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Content data (videos, thumbnails) is deleted from our storage systems within 30 days of account deletion or content removal.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.
• AES-256 encryption at rest for databases and storage buckets.
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
• Regular security reviews and penetration testing.

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it via our Security Policy.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for authentication (session cookies managed by Clerk) and to understand how users interact with our platform. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Your Rights

8. International Data Transfers

Ryncast is operated from India. Our infrastructure providers (Neon, Cloudflare, Mux) may process data in the United States and other countries. By using Ryncast, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.

9. Children's Privacy

Ryncast is not intended for use by persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
